Fancy was rescued from the street with her former housemates Sketch and Orangie. Their owner died and the landlord put them out on the street. A neighbor fed them and looked out for them, but the street is no place for a cat to be living, so Kitt Crusaders stepped in to help find them new forever homes!
Fancy is a sweet and reserved tortie girl, about 2 years old. She’s got stunning green eyes and luxurious long hair. She also has an eartip, though she’s definitely not feral! It’s possible that during her time on the street, someone who didn’t know her backstory took her in for TNR, or that her original owner rescued her as a TNR’d street kitty.
Her foster dad says she enjoys sitting at the window and playing with wand toys. She also likes head rubs, though she’s still figuring out how to initiate cuddles.
Fancy is very gentle but also quite shy — she’ll do best in a home with a patient cat-savvy human who will give her the time and love she needs to regain her confidence. She’s always lived around other cats, so a household with other cats would be good, as long as they’re welcoming!
If you’re interested in meeting Fancy, stop by our adoption event in Larchmont on Sunday from 12-4 (outside the Bank of America). And if you can’t make that, please get in touch about arranging a home visit to meet Fancy in her foster home.
