We are a foster-based rescue group, so most of our cats are already in foster homes. If you're interested in foster-to-adopt, we can move a cat out of his foster home, but we try to provide as much stability as possible for our cats while they look for forever homes.
Bottle babies are kittens who are so young they haven't been weaned yet, but for some reason don't have their mothers around. The foster parent must feed them from a bottle every 2-4 hours (depending on kitten age).
The length of a fostering commitment varies depending on the age of the cat and other factors, but we generally need fosters who can commit to the cat until he or she is adopted. Occasionally we need a short-term foster for when regular fosters are out of town. And we also sometimes need very special fosters who can provide a loving hospice home for an old or terminally ill cat to live out her days in comfort.
Our adoption events are held outside the Bank of America at 100 N Larchmont Blvd from 12-4pm on Sundays.
